Day 1 of "23 Things on a Stick"

Well, this was definitely not as complicated as I had feared. As with many things, anticipation is far worse than reality. I am familiar with reading blogs, but surprised at how easy they are to create. I have been impressed by the way political blogs have changed the landscape. Now I need to think about the ways that I could leverage this particular technology for the library media center at my high school. Is a list serv a blog? I have spent time lately checking out a list serv for Follett Destiny, the LMC circulation system and catalog, and that has been immediately helpful. Here's to hoping that the next 22 Things on a Stick are this interesting. Many thanks to Metronet for getting this going. Another local Media Specialist and I have committed to meeting with each other occasionally so as to make sure we actually get this done.

I hope you try some more of the Things, some of them are quite fun and really not too difficult.

Hi, MR. It is now May 30, and I am at a workshop on Web 2.0. My problem is time, but I am determined to work on the new myriad uses of the Web during this coming summer. Wish me luck. Also, thanks for the comment; it was my first! I love your photo. I believe that I will put my beloved but odd-looking cat on my blog. Check back soon.
